THE FIFTH INCARNATION OF THIS NOW LEGENDARY SINGLE MALT IS THE FIRST BY HEAD DISTILLER ADAM HANNETT. AS ENIGMATIC AS EVER, THE COMPOSITION OF CASKS REMAINS A MYSTERY.
The Modernist family would love you to join us in helping Bruichladdich launch the fifth incarnation of their legendary Black Art Single Malt.
‘Bruichladdich is an award-winning distillery employing generations of distilling knowledge and the prociple of minimal intervention.
Built in 1881 on the wild Scottish island of Islay, [the] distillery still uses the original Victorian equipment to create a range of single malt whiskies that are trickle distilled, matured and bottled solely on Islay by a skilled team of 78 men and women.
Bruichladdich implements revolutionary, modern interpretations of time-honored ieas and challenges the comfortable conventions of a whisky establishment. Rejecting the onset of modern automation and homogenization, [the] Head Distiller, Adam Hannett, only considers production methods that place the quality of liquid above everything else.’
Black Art 5 is the result of Hannett’s secret recipe. The only fact that is known: the youngest barrel in this blend is from 1992! Whisky Ambassador, Trent Simpson, will be here to talk about his experience working at the distillery and explain more about the unique line up. Come experience this once in a lifetime Single Malt alongside its Bruichladdich brethren – Port Charlotte and the Islay Barley, in addition to a special cocktail created by Carlo Splendorini.
Any members who wish to fill their bottle locker with this special bottle, will receive a discounted, pre-order rate. If interested in attending, we ask that you RSVP so we have enough bottles to pour throughout the tasting.
