Our second installment we are joined by Ger Buckley, Master Cooper, Midleton Distillery. Ger Buckley is the 5th generation cooper for Jameson, Red Breast and a long line of Irish whiskey.

Coopering—the art of barrel building—is an ancient trade dating back a couple thousand years, and since then little has changed in the process. But today, only a few dozen Master Coopers practice around the world. Ger Buckley, Master Cooper for Midleton Distillery in County Cork Ireland, is one of those remaining few.
