This Weeks Whisky Business feature:
HONG KONG MILK TEA
This style of tea originates from the time of British colonial rule over Hong Kong. The key feature is that a sackcloth bag is generally used to filter the tea leaves. The bag, reputed to make the tea smoother, gradually develops an intense brown color as a result of prolonged tea drenching. Compounded with the shape of the filter, it simply looks like a pantyhose. Therefore, Hong Kong-style milk tea is also known as ‘silk stocking milk tea.’
KIKORI WHISKY
Distilled in Kumamoto, on the island of Kyushu, and made from 100% rice, Kikori Whisky is a smooth & welcome newcomer to the whisky category. Aged for 3+ years in American Oak, French Limousin Oak & Sherry casks, Kikori is golden & pure in color with a floral & fragrant aroma & a velvety smoothness to the palate. It is a perfect combination of pure water, quality ingredients, careful aging, meticulous blending & Japanese attention to detail.
